Position Purpose
The Web Development Manager is a management level position responsible for the managing the development of custom web and emerging platform applications as well as all corporate and hospital public-facing websites. This position is responsible for managing a team of developers, designing and developing these web applications and emerging platform applications. Other key focus areas include : determining and practicing best practices for web development, working with end users to determine requirements and satisfaction, providing technical assistance and expertise towards development, and providing insight into the latest technologies and techniques that can be leveraged. This position will further be responsible for providing leadership to a team of developers, assisting in their career development, setting meaningful goals and direction for the development team, and delegating work effectively within the development team.
Responsibilities & Tasks
Designs and develops web applications to meet business and clinical needs the company.
Designs and develops web, application and database, and end user interfaces.
Interviews end users to document requirements.
Works with end users to determine user satisfaction .
Develops architecture for web applications.
Determines and implements best practices for web development.
Provides insight into latest technologies and development techniques.
Provides technical expertise on broad range of web technologies.
Provides technical assistance to web developers.
Co-ordinates testing efforts with developers and end users.
Assists in career development of junior employees.
This position must sit at our Home Office in Birmingham, AL
Minimum Qualifications :
Undergraduate degree required
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience
Technical Certifications, such as a Microsoft Certified Software Developer or a SUN Certified Java Developer, are preferred but not required
Healthcare industry experience preferred
Web Development Managers will be required to perform a number of the following duties :

Web Development Manager will have prerequisite technical knowledge in one or more of the following technologies :
