Med / Surg RN Job Details – Nashville, TN Job Title : Travel Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN) Location : Nashville, TN 37205 (Tennessee nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Inpatient Medical-Surgical Unit Employment Type : Travel Nursing Contract Start Date : November 3, 2025 Contract Length : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour night shifts (3 shifts / week) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1610 - $1730 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Tennessee or compact state) BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification – required before first shift ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification – required before first shift Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in a Med / Surg or medical-surgical nursing setting Strong patient assessment, documentation, and communication skills Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized patient care plans Deliver high-quality patient care in accordance with clinical protocols and safety standards Supervise and delegate tasks to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and new staff Accurately document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and interdisciplinary healthcare team meetings Initiate discharge planning and provide patient education from admission through discharge Promote a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff by following hospital safety policies Contribute to team building and a positive work culture in the Med / Surg unit Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing nursing education Take the next step in your nursing career with this rewarding travel nurse job in Nashville, Tennessee.
