The Opportunity
This is a senior leadership role where you’ll manage large, multi-discipline engineering and design teams (mechanical, electrical, civil, process, and structural). If you thrive on solving complex challenges, coaching teams, and managing high-value projects with significant client visibility, this role gives you both the responsibility and resources to excel.
What You’ll Do
- Lead Teams at Scale : Direct 30–50+ engineers and designers across multiple disciplines, ensuring collaboration, accountability, and performance at every stage.
- Project Controls : Own budgets, schedules, earned value reporting, and quality metrics; utilize cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis to stay ahead.
- Technical Authority : Validate engineering designs, vendor submittals, and fabrication / construction packages for compliance with specs, safety standards, and client objectives.
- Client Engagement : Act as the primary client interface — align on goals, manage scope changes, and provide proactive communication on progress, risks, and deliverables.
- Decision Maker : Shape major technical, scheduling, and cost decisions; drive alignment between internal teams and client stakeholders.
- Mentor + Coach : Build a high-performing project culture; identify talent, provide performance feedback, and mentor emerging leaders.
- Risk + Compliance : Champion scope management, contractual compliance, and safety / quality best practices across all phases.
- Close + Deliver : Oversee project closeout, client approvals, lessons learned, and long-term relationship development.
