Job Summary : \nUnder the direction of the Medical Director and Overseeing Physician, the Nurse Practitioner manages the day-to-day operations of the onsite health care clinic. In addition, the Nurse Practitioner provides patient care that includes, but not limited to, case management, physicals and clearance exams, injury assessment, and minor procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : \nPerform post-offer physicals and non-work-related / return-to-work medical clearance examinations\nProvide urgent and episodic care to employees\nRespond to in-plant medical emergencies and evaluate employees with acute episodic illness, referring when appropriate\nAssess, diagnose, treat, and provide ongoing medical management of workplace injuries and non-occupational conditions (episodic and urgent), including writing prescriptions and facilitating referrals in collaboration with the physician\nDrive chronic disease management process, including education and wellness physicals\nMaintenance of charts and employee incident records\nPerform minor procedures including, but not limited to, suturing, splinting, joint injection, trigger finger injection, arthrocentesis, and x-ray interpretation\nCase management of workman's compensation claims in conjunction with the employer representative and insurance carrier\nFacilitate return-to-work and light-duty assignments for employees with work-related injuries\nMaintain current case log for workplace injuries outlining treatment plan for weekly case review\nAssure compliance with OSHA and DOT programs such as hearing conservation, blood-borne pathogen training, random drug screening, and follow-up programs\nMaintain health care unit inventory of medications and supplies\nOn-call as needed\nOther duties as assigned\nRequired Education, Skills, and Abilities : \n3+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner\nExperience in an occupational health setting\nBachelor's degree in related field\nCurrent valid state licensure\nCurrent First Aid / CPR / AED certification\nProficient with Microsoft Office\nKnowledge of OSHA Recordability and workers' compensation principles (Preferred)\nAbility to communicate with all levels across the organization effectively\nStrong administrative and management skills\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision\nAbility to maintain a high level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality\nFamiliarity with manufacturing and production facility practices\nPosition may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination\nAthletico provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws. Salaried ranges listed are for full time (40 hour) employees. Additional pay such as incentive, GAP, overtime, and stipends are subject to the rules of each program and may not be available in all locations. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties / requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.\nMinimum Salary / Wage : USD $180,000.00 / Yr.
