Job Title : Advanced Practice Provider
Job Description
We are seeking experienced and dedicated Advanced Practice Providers (APP) to join a high-acuity Pediatric-Cardiac Intensive Care Unit undergoing strategic growth. This unit specializes in complex surgical cases, including heart transplants, and serves patients from neonatal age through adulthood (up to 25 years old, with the majority under age 5). APPs play a critical role in pre- and post-operative care, working alongside a nationally recognized surgical team known for pioneering procedures.
Responsibilities
Manage care for 6 patients per shift, including critically ill patients ranging from neonatal to 25 years of age
Participate in daily morning huddles with surgeons, intensivists, cardiologists, and fellow APPs to determine coverage and care plans
Round with attending physicians and execute individualized care plans
Focus on pre- and post-operative management; occasional line placements and sedations may be required (no OR responsibilities)
Collaborate with a 24 / 7 in-house attending physician team for support and escalation
Essential Skills
Experience :
Preferred : 2+ years in Pediatric Cardiac ICU
Acceptable : 2+ years in Pediatric ICU (non-cardiac) or 1+ year in Pediatric ICU with strong clinical foundation
Education & Certifications – Nurse Practitioners (NP) :
Pediatric Acute Care NP Certification (required)
BSN and RN license (required)
MSN or DNP (required)
AHA BLS and PALS (required)
DEA license (required)
Education & Certifications – Physician Assistants (PA) :
Certificate of Added Qualifications in Pediatrics (required)
BS degree and Master's in PA (required)
PANCE certification (required)
AHA BLS and PALS (required)
DEA license (required)
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in high-stress environments with elevated expectations.
Ability to work 14 shifts per month, with 70% being nights / weekends.
Flexibility to rotate between day and night shifts.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $170000.00 / yr.
