Job Description

Whitney, LLP is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Law Clerk to join our litigation team. Our firm represents consumers in cases involving auto dealer fraud, illegal evictions, real estate sales, home improvement disputes, and other consumer protection matters across Maryland.

We are looking for someone who is eager to learn how to draft lawsuits and discovery requests while working directly with attorneys on new and ongoing cases. This position includes the opportunity to learn new skills and grow with the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in drafting complaints, discovery requests, and legal memoranda.
  • Review, organize, and summarize case documents and evidence.
  • Conduct legal research on Maryland and federal statutes, regulations, and case law.
  • Prepare exhibits, tables, and correspondence for court filings.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in all written and digital work.

Qualifications

  • Positive attitude.
  • Excellent writing and typing skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Prior experience in a law office or coursework in legal studies is helpful but not required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word is required.

  • Location : Towson, Maryland (on-site)
  • Hours : Full-time M-F, 40 hours / week
