Responsibilities Work in a Transitional Care Unit within a long-term care hospital setting Patient ratio is 1 : 7-8 Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00–07 : 30) Floating to other units is required based on clinical experience and staffing needs Cerner EMR is used; prior experience is preferred but not required Every other weekend or two weekends per month are required shifts Responsibilities include transitional care nursing for long-term care patients Onboarding includes non-billable online modules completed during orientation and annually No blocked scheduling requests are permitted No major holiday or holiday week time-off requests will be accommodated; holiday RTO can be discussed onsite after arrival Cannot take RTO within 14 days of the start date and RTO cannot exceed 7 days Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility unless accepting a lower local pay rate Related or married travel teams cannot work on the same unit Requirements Active TN or compact RN license in hand at time of consideration Current certifications : BLS (AHA) and NIHSS Must be able to pass EKG testing prior to start Travel nursing experience is required for all specialties All licensure and certifications must be valid and not expire within 45 days of the assignment start date Cannot have been permanent staff at this campus within the previous 24 months; may return to other Covenant Health campuses after 12 months Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624637.
