Job Description

As a Security Officer - Packaging Facility in Albuquerque, NM , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting regular patrols and maintaining a visible presence throughout the site. Your role involves monitoring assigned areas, supporting access control, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone you encounter. You will be part of a team that values agility, reliability, and innovation, while always putting people first and acting with integrity. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, including both indoor and outdoor areas.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns within the tech and media environment.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff to address inquiries and provide assistance as needed.
  • Document and report incidents, observations, and any maintenance or facility issues encountered during patrols.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to support a secure and welcoming environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
