Responsibilities Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of a short-term acute care teaching hospital Staffed at a 1 : 2 nurse-to-patient ratio caring for labor and delivery patients, including high risk cases Night shift schedule, working 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Call required, totaling 24 hours over a 6-week period with a 45-minute response time Weekend and holiday shifts required every other rotation as needed Float required to related units such as Mom / Baby, with travelers floating before permanent staff Cerner is used for charting and EMR documentation Responsibilities include circulating, fetal monitoring, and supporting complex, high risk deliveries Team-based environment with opportunities to precept and take charge roles Short orientation provided, with specialty-specific modules required before and during onboarding Scrubs are provided by facility Must be able to cover every other weekend and holiday as needed First time travelers will not be considered If previously employed by the health system, must have a minimum 1-year gap to return as a traveler Local candidates within 60 miles accepted at a lower rate Requested time off must be submitted with initial profile and cannot be changed after submission No time off permitted in the first two weeks of assignment Requirements Active MD or compact state RN license required at time of consideration Minimum two years of recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required At least one prior travel nursing assignment in Labor and Delivery required Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate, and STABLE Must register for Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) during compliance or within the first two weeks of assignment C-EFM certification through NCC preferred Skills required include circulating, fetal heart monitoring (FHM), preceptor or charge experience Triage experience preferred High risk labor and delivery experience required Two supervisor references from the past two years required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-613951.
