• And much more!\n\nPosition Summary : \nJoin our Surgery unit at Jackson Purchase Medical Center, where teamwork and communication are key in providing specialized care to our patients. This unit focuses on delivering optimal medical attention to critically ill individuals and features a 19-bed same-day surgery unit.\n\nResponsibilities : \n
• Provide direct patient care using the nursing process in line with established practices and standards.\n
• Implement plans of care through medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other necessary medical interventions.\n
• Document all patient care accurately.\n
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, including physicians, patients, and families.\n
• Assist patients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and mobility.\n
• Collaborate across disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care involving transfers, discharges, referrals, and addressing spiritual / psychosocial needs.\n
• Assess and address the educational needs of patients and families, providing information tailored to their age, culture, and condition.\n
• Act as a dedicated advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.\n\nMinimum Qualifications : \n\nEducation / Experience : \n
• Associate's degree required\n
• Bachelor's degree preferred\n\nCertifications : \n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire\n
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire\n
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 30 days of hire\n\nLicenses : \n
