Position Overview :

  • An Estimator is responsible for developing detailed and accurate cost estimates for complex electrical construction projects.
  • They utilize advanced estimating techniques and collaborate with other departments to ensure comprehensive and competitive bids.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop detailed cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including labor, materials, and overhead.
  • Analyze project blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather accurate cost information.
  • Prepare and present bid proposals and cost breakdowns to senior management and clients.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and requirements.
  • Review and interpret changes in project scope and adjust estimates accordingly.
  • Mentor and train Estimator 1 staff on estimating practices and procedures.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related field. 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating or construction management.
  • Advanced knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices.
  • Proficiency in estimating software, cost databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.   Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
