American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ED Holding position caring for inpatient and CICU-level patients, requiring a NH or compact RN license and Epic experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the ED Holding unit of a hospital settingPatient population includes inpatient, CICU-level holds in the ED with medical, surgical, trauma, oncology, orthopedic, and cardiac casesTypical diagnoses include chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, and pneumoniaHandles procedures such as s / p cath with stent, ICD / pacer insertions, and cardioversionsManages and titrates IV drips including Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Integrillin, Labatolol, Dopamine, DobutamineUses Bipap, Cpap, Vapotherm, Alaris pumps, and Phillips monitoring systemsNight shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19 : 00-07 : 30)Weekend work required every other weekendEpic EMR used; EMR experience requiredFloating within units may be requiredResponsible for managing both acute and medically stable patients awaiting admission or transferMust titrate drips and utilize advanced respiratory support equipment as part of careDrug screen must be obtained within 14 days prior to startFirst-time travelers accepted if they meet Epic and experience requirementsTravelers within 50 miles accepted at local rate\n \n Requirements\n
Active NH or compact RN license requiredMinimum of 2 years nursing experience, with strong recent PCU background within the last yearEpic EMR experience requiredACLS and BLS (AHA or Red Cross) certifications requiredMust complete EKG test on arrivalReferences required for considerationNot eligible if previously employed by any SolutionHealth facility\n Benefits\n
