About The Position

Job Title : Computed Tomography Technologist

Profession : Technologist

Specialty : Computed Tomography (CT)

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 10 hours

Hours per Shift : 10

Experience : Minimum of 1 year as a registered radiology technologist, with CT tech experience required

License : Active state license with Fluoroscopy required

Certifications : AART required; completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program; Associate's Degree or equivalent required

Must-Have :

Must live 100 miles away

Multi-modality competencies in CT and X-Ray, including stroke protocols and perfusion scans (or willingness to be trained)

Knowledgeable with Philips, Toshiba, and Canon CT scanners

Description :

Operates Computed Tomography (CT) and radiographic equipment and processors.

Analyzes body habitus to correctly adjust technical factors.

Positions the body correctly and reviews physician's orders.

Obtains pertinent clinical data to consistently produce high-quality radiographs.

Reduces unnecessary radiation exposure to patients and self.

Assists physicians during procedures, including room preparation, supplies, and contrast reactions.

Handles codes efficiently.

Ability to schedule and complete exams and enter accurate charge codes.
