Position Description
The Continuous Improvement (CI) Lead plays a key role in driving operational excellence across new and existing plant sites. As a workstream lead within the Program Management Office (PMO), this individual will be deployed to startup facilities to implement CI tools, processes, and cultural practices that support scalable, efficient operations. The CI Lead will work closely with cross-functional teams within the plant to ensure that lean principles, standard work, and problem-solving methodologies are embedded into the launch and ramp-up phases of new programs.
This role requires a hands-on leader with deep experience in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and change management, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Strong team member of Deploying 80 / 20 Lean transformation
- Serve as the CI workstream lead on cross-functional programs and projects, representing CI in organization goals.
- Deploy to plant sites to implement CI tools and frameworks such as value stream mapping, kaizen, 5S, and standard work.
- Partner with CI leader to align CI deliverables with program milestones and operational readiness.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build CI capability across plant teams.
- Identify and eliminate waste in processes, systems, and workflows to improve efficiency and throughput.
- Support the development of performance dashboards and metrics to track CI impact.
- Collaborate with plant leadership and functional teams to embed a culture of continuous improvement.
- Provide feedback to the CI Director Leadership on lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
Required Education & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or operational excellence.Proven experience supporting plant startups or transformation initiatives.Strong knowledge of lean tools, Six Sigma methodologies, and CI frameworks.Excellent facilitation, coaching, and change management skills.Ability to travel to plant sites as needed to support program deployment.Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Experience with CI software or digital tools preferred.Why Choose Modine?
