Echocardiograph Technologist – Echocardiology [15h Left]

Description

The Technologist, under the direction of a Cardiologist, performs echocardiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision as well as other duties as assigned. This requires independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply non-ionizing high frequency ultrasonic waves for a cardiographic diagnosis, whether scheduled or emergent. He / she will participate in the clinical activities, including call, within the imaging areas of Echocardiography, Surgery, Mobile Unit and Nursing Units.

Required Qualifications :

Coursework / Training : Must have successfully completed a formal training program or equivalent in Echocardiography and demonstrate ability to complete competency in Echocardiography.

Within 1 year of hire : National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Or

Within 1 year of hire : National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International.

Upon hire : National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications :

• 6 months Minimum Experience.
