Supervisor For Employee Engagement
The Supervisor for Employee Engagement supports the university's vision of becoming a "great place to work" and the Cardinal Principles by directing all engagement functions of the HR Employee Success Center, including employee recognition and service awards, onboarding, communications and PR (electronic and print materials, emails, newsletters, website content / design, social media), and other special projects.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Supervision. Supervises one fulltime exempt staff member and graduate assistant and directly manages their tasks and job duties, including regular performance evaluation. Manages the center's relationship with external recognition vendor and contract for over $100k.
Fiscal Management. Oversees the budgets and speedtypes related to engagement. Creates an annual working budget for projects and tracks and reconciles spending within university guidelines.
Strategic Planning. Identifies, assesses, and analyzes current and future needs in organizational and employee engagement for all levels of employees. Consults with deans and other department leaders about their engagement needs, recognition, etc.
Communication. Leads the development and production of all Employee Success Center communications and public relations content, including the center's website, print materials, newsletters, surveys, podcast and social media. Oversees and curates the center's voice across all platforms to ensure a consistent, engaging, and aligned messaging strategy within the broader unified communications framework.
Recognition. Directs presidential employee recognition efforts, including service awards, distinguished faculty and staff, outstanding performance and supervisor awards, Cardinal Principles Champions, etc. Advises the president and provost on new opportunities to recognize faculty, staff, retirees and others for their work. Creates university-wide resources, like CARDgrams, and promotes them broadly to create a university-wide culture of appreciation.
Onboarding. Creates and continually enhances the employee onboarding experience including the first day experience and other activities throughout the first year of a new employee's employment.
Designing Learning Experiences. Directs the development of e-learning trainings and / or videos to support the Employee Success Center's training initiatives. Consults with department leaders and others about unit-specific challenges and opportunities. Creates new initiatives such as performance management systems to meet strategic needs identified by leadership and constituency groups.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in communications and employee engagement within a Higher Education institution.

Target Compensation
Maximum : $79,540.00
Minimum : $52,993.00
Compensation will be commensurate to candidate experience.
