Description :

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a specialty in Labor and Delivery.

The nurse will work in a unit that provides care for both mothers and babies.

The unit is not very busy, having around 100 births in the last year, but it does experience higher acuity and high-risk cases.

Candidates should possess strong experience due to the autonomy required in this small department.

Ratios for patient care are typically 1 : 1-2.

Nurses are required to float to other units such as MedSurg, CNA, and assisting roles as needed.

Weekend work will be determined by departmental needs.

Patients range in age, primarily focusing on adults.

Strong experience in fetal heart monitoring is essential for success in this position.

This role emphasizes both mother and baby care, requiring versatility and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Candidates must be comfortable with floating to other units based on skill sets and census needs.
