Overview
As Delivery Manager in the Starkville & Columbus areas, your job is to ensure customer satisfaction through on-time delivery, professionalism, and on-call availability for both customers and employees.
Basic Duties
- Assist operations manager with screening, scheduling, and interviewing potential employees.
- Training and evaluating new team members for process compliance and safety standards.
- Team development and risk analysis (Ensuring RA acquire class D and Driver / Helper best fit).
- Monitoring overtime hours and implementing changes for overall reduction.
- Managing and reporting on manpower status daily.
- Confirming / maintaining delivery equipment and escalating any potential issues that may prevent on-time delivery.
- Auditing company vehicles for cleanliness and maintenance needs.
- Auditing customer accounts for market compliance.
- Daily communication with sales department on market strategy, price changes, display implementations, and frequency changes.
- Assisting with routing, re-routing, and sequencing of all current or new delivery routes.
- Implementing special projects or requests and reporting on the outcome of the changes.
- Supporting in the market when required to do so.
Administrative Duties
Ensure a safe, secure workplace under the guidelines of Mitchell's policies and procedures.Review, correct if necessary, and approve all your hourly subordinates' timesheets immediately following the close of a pay period, and before the published Payroll Department deadline for submissions.If applicable to your position, submit all payroll related items including bonus, incentive pay, commissions, or other forms of compensation before the published Payroll Department deadline.Immediately notify your supervisor and the Human Resources Department of any workplace accidents or injuries, or not later than by the end of your scheduled shift if circumstances prevent you from immediately reporting.Basic Requirements
