About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Experience : 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred

License : RN License in state of TX or compact

Certifications : Current BLS certification required (AHA only)

Must-Have : Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)

Current PALS certification required (AHA only)

Current TNCC certification required

Description :

The competent Nurse practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation.

Provides routine and complex care, with the ability to focus on long-range goals or plans.

Continues to develop the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing.

Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as a means to help manage the clinical situation.

Meets expectations of applicable competencies, including leadership roles.

Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.

Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice.

Using appropriate protocols, administers medications and treatments, and monitors for side effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.

Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided.

Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and caregivers; identifies issues and resources.
