The Worldwide (WW) Medical Director for Cell Therapy in Lupus is a core member and leader within the WW Medical Matrix Team. This individual will lead development and implementation of the WW Medical strategy for Cell Therapy in Lupus with an emphasis on CD19 CAR-T and the BMS NEX-T platform. This individual will lead scientific engagement with international lupus experts and represent WW Medical in key development and commercialization decisions.
Key Responsibilities :
- Therapeutic Area : Rheumatology / Lupus
- Collaborate with stakeholders in key markets to assess unmet needs and clinical practice dynamics; and shape the cell therapy, lupus medical strategy globally
- Drive strategic alignment with the cross-functional medical matrix team across multiple levels and departments
- Drive scientific engagement and collaboration with lupus experts globally
- Ensure evidence generation strategies are implemented and realized including the identification of evidence gaps and unmet needs; and alignment on the integrated evidence generation plan
- Provide strategic leadership in the development and execution of medical communication initiatives, including publications and educational content.
- Collaborate with cross functional partners to implement disease specific congress strategies and engagement activities
- Represent WW Medical on the lupus clinical development team and in professional society engagement
- Drive the identification of expert insights to inform medical, development, and commercialization decisions globally
- Collaborate with the WW Medical leads for SOTYKTU and afimetoran to ensure alignment on lupus medical strategy
- Manage resource allocation and project execution in line with the medical plan and budget
Qualifications & Experience
Advanced, scientific or medical degree, e.g. MD, DO, NP, PA, PhD, PharmDMinimum 5+ years experience in the pharma / biopharma industry or clinical practiceRheumatology and / or Lupus experience strongly preferredAdvanced understanding of drug development, pharmaceutical and healthcare industriesStrong leadership experience in a matrix environment with multi-functional project teams and managing external agenciesStrong interpersonal communication skills commensurate with the need to work closely with both external physicians / scientists and in-house teamsAbility to navigate complex topics in a matrix environment with grace and confidenceStrong listening, problem solving, and prioritization skillsExcellent planning and organization skills including the ability to work under pressure, and to maintain scientific excellence within timelinesExcellent written and oral communication skills, including strong oral presentation skillsAbility to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and integrity; representing the company’s high ethics, moral behavior, and professionalism standardsHQ-based position with global travel expected up to 20%.The starting compensation for this job is a range from $207,490 - $ 251,400, plus incentive cash and stockopportunities (based on eligibility).
The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and where the job is performed.
Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.
