Senior Staff Accountant

Job Objective : Provide accounting services for select corps / units to include receipting, disbursements, review, reporting and budgeting assistance . Position will be assigned units with an advanced degree of difficulty.

Essential Functions :

Minimum Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor's degree in accounting or relat ed field . Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Business administration and finance courses desirable . Courses in computer-based accounting very helpful.

Experience : Two years in the accounting field, including computer utilization preferred .

Physical Requirements : Include good speaking, hearing and vision ability and excellent manual dexterity. Ability to stand, bend and reach for extended periods of time, dexterity of hands and fingers to operate office equipment . This position may require the ability to lift and / or move more than 15 pounds occasionally . Driving : Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside . Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business.

Working Conditions : Work is performed in a typical office environment . F ull-time position ; m ay require some week end and evening work.
