To transform the way millions of users explore, interact with, and participate in live events worldwide, StubHub is seeking Senior Software Engineers to design and develop next-generation technologies and complex features. You will tackle significant, ambiguous, and non-trivial challenges as a core contributor and innovator, bringing creative technical solutions to life. You will also serve as an advocate and mentor for your team, demonstrating leadership and setting an example. StubHub is committed to being an inclusive workplace.

Location : Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote)

About the team

The Direct Marketing Technology team builds the intelligence and systems behind StubHub’s lifecycle marketing engine, including email, push, and app notifications. We focus on making every fan interaction relevant, timely, and effective in driving repeat engagement. Our work sits at the intersection of data science, personalization, marketing technology, and software engineering. We use real-time targeting, campaign decision-making, and experimentation at scale to create resonant messaging that adds value.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain improvements across all StubHub’s platforms and products, delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure best practices across our codebase
  • Manage priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using your technical expertise
  • Mentor other team members and help raise their technical capabilities, fostering inclusion, results-oriented execution, open innovation, and creativity

What You've Done

  • 5-6+ years of professional experience in software development
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more areas : Infrastructure, Databases, Data Processing, Machine Learning, Distributed Systems, Security, and Privacy
  • Experience designing and developing solutions to complex problems with significant business impact
  • Strong understanding of how systems interact with the broader production environment, including dependencies and platform primitives
  • Proven ability to learn new languages, platforms, frameworks, and tools
  • Experience owning projects from idea to production
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers

  • The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies. Base salary is part of StubHub’s total compensation and benefits package.

    Salary Range

    $200,000 - $250,000 USD
