About The Position

Job Title : Operating Room Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 Hours (07 : 00 - 19 : 30, 09 : 00 - 21 : 30)

Experience : Minimum 2 years of trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience required.

License : Valid nursing license required.

Certifications : BLS certification required.

Must-Have : Must be willing to float between units as needed.

Description :

Applicants need to have trauma, neuro, vascular, and orthopedic experience due to trauma status.

Night shifts may be required as needed and will be distributed equally among nursing staff.

The staffing ratio is typically 10 RNs to 6 surgical techs during the day and 1 RN to 1 surgical tech at night.

Weekend work is expected based on unit needs.

Daily census averages 25 cases.

Interdisciplinary support includes respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.

Patient diagnoses include orthopedic, neurosurgery, vascular, robotics, and general cases.

Travelers may need to cover one night shift within their contract if required.

Candidates must be willing to work two out of the three major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.

References must include at least two supervisory references covering one year of relevant experience within the last three years.

Travelers may be expected to float to nearby facilities as needed.

Communication devices may be provided by the employer for work-related purposes.

Candidates should explore housing options in the area, as availability may be limited.
