Procurement Business Partner

Lead the Procurement function for BDB BU, with the primary responsibility of being a strategic business partner to all the key BU stakeholders and delivering on all functional commitments to the business.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, this position will be the Procurement Business Partner for BDB. This role will also be responsible for delivering on the functional commitments to the business and provide the business with a competitive advantage to drive profitable growth. The individual will provide leadership and drive accountability across key focus areas including cost reduction initiatives, contract negotiations, supplier relationships, supplier risk management, responsible sourcing, cash flow improvement, inventory management, and ensure business continuity. The individual will drive the procurement transformation at the business units and truly leverage the scale & best practices across BDX. The individual in this role will have responsibility for establishing policies, processes, and systems to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations, whilst ensuring complete alignment with the standards & policies defined centrally.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the BDB procurement teams, to deliver on their objectives.
• Responsible for driving execution of the procurement strategy & transformation at the businesses.
• Work closely with the ISC Leadership to drive end-to-end supply chain performance and deliver on ISC commitments to the businesses
• Work closely with all key stakeholders including the Business SLT, Finance, Operations, Legal, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Compliance - understand & deliver on expectations
• Drive the implementation of new tools and technologies to drive efficiency and achieve a step level improvement in performance at the BU.
• Serve as a liaison between BD and its customers, suppliers, and partners.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
• Monitor performance metrics to track progress towards goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify & implement opportunities for improvements across cost, quality, delivery and innovation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in procurement or supply chain management. Experience managing complex global organizations and ability to influence & drive change Strong understanding of procurement best practices and industry trends. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
