As an Occupational Therapist, you'll use your expertise to assess a child's and family's unique strengths and needs, creating a personalized roadmap for success through the Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). • Be a role model : Maintain consistent and timely attendance while championing the organization's mission and goals with a positive and professional attitude.
• Empower families : Help develop and review Individualized Family Services Plans (IFSPs) and assist families in creating functional outcomes that meet their needs and priorities.
• Be a flexible team player : Act as a Primary Service Provider (PSP), leading communication and visits for a trans-disciplinary team, or as a Secondary Service Provider (SSP), supporting the family and PSP through coaching.
• Provide expert guidance : Share your expertise by serving as a consultant, coach, or trainer to the PSP team in a variety of environments.
• Deliver specialized care : Provide direct support for children's visual, fine motor, oral, and sensory-motor needs, including monitoring sensory diets in natural settings such as homes and communities.
• Assess and evaluate : Conduct developmental evaluations and Occupational Therapy assessments to determine a child's eligibility for services, and perform ongoing assessments to monitor their growth and development.
• Use evidence-based practices : Utilize evidence-based intervention techniques and parent coaching that are rooted in a child's interests and daily routines.
• Manage your workload : Prepare all required reports, case notes, and records within specified deadlines and effectively handle multiple assignments at various stages.
• Stay updated : Participate in conferences, committees, staff meetings, and training opportunities to stay current and enhance your professional growth.

Required license, knowledge, skills and abilities :

This job requires travel throughout Greene County and would be a mix of in office, remote work and in-person visits.

Must maintain license as Occupational Therapist required by state of Ohio. Must have valid Ohio drivers license and maintain a driving record in compliance with Greene County Board policy. As required by law or rule, must successfully pass a criminal background check through BCII, Nurses Registry, Office of Inspector General check, DODD Abuse Registry check, and other required checks. Must successfully complete pre-employment physical including drug testing.

Knowledge of : Applicable laws, regulations, policies, and professional ethical standards; up-to-date information of child development; developing Individualized Family Service Plans; EI adaptive equipment; EI assistive devices, Part C rules and regulations as it relates to early intervention services. Previous experience working with infants and toddlers preferred. Evidence-based intervention practices through PSP approach preferred.

Ability to : Organize and maintain records; Interact with co-workers and the public in a positive and pleasant manner; maintain confidentiality. Must be able to adapt to changing technology methods. Ability to effectively handle multiple assignments and time frame demands.
