job_description.job_card.job_descriptionPrepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical and plumbing packages on residential and multifamily projects Review project plans, specifications, and contract documents Analyze project requirements and develop comprehensive bid proposals Support business development efforts with potential project values exceeding $100M annually Grow into leading and mentoring a team of 2-3 estimating professionals Establish and maintain estimating standards and best practices Collaborate with project management and field operations teams Potential to transition into full-cycle project management role Maintain relationships with established client base Support proposal presentations and client meetings Ensure estimates align with client expectations and project requirements Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (NOT required) Minimum 4 years of construction estimating experience Strong background in mechanical and / or plumbing systems Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite Excellent analytical and mathematical skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Leadership experience or demonstrated leadership potential Experience with residential and multifamily construction projects Knowledge of current construction methods, materials, and costs Experience with project management responsibilities Familiarity with local building codes and regulations Clear pathway to team leadership and project management responsibilities Opportunity to work with established, long-term client relationships Involvement in high-value projects with significant growth potential Hybrid work arrangements available (2-3 remote days per week for qualified candidates) Competitive salary commensurate with experience Stable work environment in recession-resistant residential market Collaborative team culture focused on quality and client satisfaction Established client relationships with consistent project pipeline Strong market position in Greensboro and surrounding areas Proven track record of successful project delivery Based in Greensboro, NC Hybrid work options available for experienced professionals Full-time position with standard business hours
