Job Title : X-Ray Technologist (Radiologic Technologist)
Job Summary :
The X-ray Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using X-ray equipment, ensuring high-quality images, and maintaining patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and position patients for X-ray procedures, ensuring safety and comfort.
Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, following safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure.
Capture high-quality diagnostic images for physician review and diagnosis.
Verify patient identity and review medical history prior to procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and documentation.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Perform routine quality control checks on equipment.
Comply with all federal, state, and facility-specific guidelines and safety procedures.
Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification preferred or required (depending on state).
CPR certification.
Strong communication skills and patient care abilities.
Proficiency in using medical imaging software and technology.
