Accounting Manager

Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill an Accounting Manager role for a growing Reno based company. This position will manage processes and be responsible for the development and roll-out of new procedures at this start up, working closely with other teams within the organization.

Responsibilities will include :

Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes and prepare timely financial reports.

Work with external vendors to manage commission income on third party sales, ensuring accuracy of this revenue stream.

Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.

Develop SOP's and WI's for the Accounting group.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with finance leadership.

Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Manage and optimize ERP systems and accounting software; implement improvements where needed.

Support a variety of projects including processes & workflows, i.e. :

o Develop and implement procedures for accurate Commission expense accrual and payment to 1099 and W2 reps.

o Partner with operations and supply chain to ensure accurate inventory valuation and controls.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

7+ years of accounting experience

Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks).

Advanced Excel skills and solid knowledge of financial reporting.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
