Job Title : Site Quality Engineer
6 Month Assignment with the opportunity to extend up to 1 year depending on performance and business need.
Location : Raleigh, NC (travel to sites on East Coast US, West Coast Canada, Central US, and other possible locations)
Travel : 40%
On-Site Position : Full-Time
Education : Bachelor in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Job Purpose
The Site Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with contractual and local quality standards throughout all phases of site / field operations, from civil, mechanical, and electrical erection to commissioning. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining quality assurance and quality control, governance to management systems, coordinating inspections, and driving adherence to project quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Assurance & Compliance : Liaise with the Project Quality Managers; review and interpret contractual and local regulations applicable to site quality; ensure Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and erection documentation are in place before activities commence.
- Evaluate Contractor Quality Plans for alignment with Project Quality Plans and customer specifications.
- Verify that inspections and testing during erection and commissioning are conducted, documented, and validated per approved ITP sequences.
- Oversee the preparation, compilation, and submission of final quality documentation to customers, third parties, and regulatory authorities.
- Track the completion system at the site, providing an overview of inspection status, certifications, and punch lists.
- Verify calibration and documentation of testing equipment at the site.
- Assess overall quality performance at site; identify, report, and manage non-conformance; ensure cost of poor quality is reported.
Key Requirements
Experience : Minimum 5 years in Quality Assurance and Quality Control, and in process management / system for Construction and Commissioning; strong track record in Change Management within large, complex organizations.Education & Industry Expertise : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering; EPC, Power or Energy industry experience.Skills & Technical Knowledge : Familiarity with construction codes and standards; proficiency in completion systems and computer skills; high level of rigor, precision, and attention to detail; strong communication and solution-oriented mindset; ability to work under tight deadlines.Language : Fluency in English (written and spoken).Job Details
