Seasonal Full-Time Position at Christmas Center

Position Type : Seasonal Full-Time at 40 hours per week (Hours vary)

About this opportunity : Works in the Christmas center; lifts, carries, loads and unloads variety of donations that may include furniture, appliances, clothing, etc.; works to promote the safety and security of the warehouse; assists with the cleanup, lay out, and set up of the warehouse; assists with possible pick up from the malls or corporations, if necessary.

Key responsibilities :

  • Lifts and stacks donations in the warehouse.
  • Distributes donations to their proper place as instructed in the warehouse.
  • Clean and service assigned areas in the Christmas Center.
  • Pick up trash, empty garbage container, and remove all trash to area for disposal.
  • Maintains good relationship with donors to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army.
  • Unloads the truck at the Christmas warehouse.

Qualifications :

What we are looking for in you : A High School diploma or GED

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions : Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects. Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing. Work requires working in a warehouse environment with exposure to fluctuating temperatures and discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
