About The Position

Job Title : Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 8 hours (07 : 00 - 15 : 30)

Experience : Minimum 1 year of GI Lab experience required

License : Valid state license required

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

• GI Lab experience
• Ability to administer conscious sedation
• Experience with endoscopic procedures including bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, and ERCP
• Ability to perform TEE, cardioversions, tracheostomies, and PEG tube placement

Description :

This position requires a registered nurse specializing in endoscopy.

The role is Monday through Friday with day shifts and includes call responsibilities.

You will be working with an average daily census of 15-20 patients.

The nurse is expected to float within their scope to meet facility needs.

Weekend coverage is required, with a schedule of every eighth weekend.

The candidate must be able to provide care for adult and geriatric patients.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.

Candidates should be prepared to work holidays as needed.

The position involves monitoring patients during and after procedures, as well as supporting procedures in the GI lab.

Experience with charting in Epic is preferred.

The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates must be able to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

References from previous supervisory roles within the last two years are preferred.
