Ash & Harris Executive Search is looking for a Warehouse Manager
Overview :
The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for leading all warehouse operations, including materials receiving, shipping, storage, kitting, and line-side replenishment within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role is critical for driving continuous improvement, ensuring inventory accuracy, and maintaining the flow of materials to support production goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Guide, develop, and manage a team of supervisors, planners, team leaders, and material handlers.
- Oversee all warehouse activities, including loading / unloading, inventory control, and material handling.
- Ensure proper warehousing practices, including FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and efficient material flow to production lines.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels through precise reporting of receipts, production usage, and scrap.
- Coordinate material flow processes such as kitting, line-side replenishment, and route optimization.
- Monitor the scheduling of incoming materials and the performance of suppliers and carriers.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the department.
- Lead continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives (e.g., Kanban, visual management systems).
- Enforce strict compliance with company policies and all safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
Requirements : Education :
Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) is required.Experiences :
A minimum of 4 years of experience in an automotive industry environment is mandatory.Proven experience with material flow, warehouse design, and inventory management.Hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.Working knowledge of SAP ERP system is required.Other :
