Overview
RNDC is seeking a CDL Driver to ensure timely and safe delivery of products to customers while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service. The role may include collecting non-cash payments as necessary, contributing to financial transactions associated with deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and note any vehicle defects. Abide by DOT hours of service rules and regulations for the license type.
- Deliver invoiced products by bottle, case, pallet, or hand-stack from the delivery truck and place merchandise into the customer account.
- Verify receipt of correct order with the customer by checking product type and size against the invoice, obtain customer signature, and collect payment if necessary for goods received.
- Ensure physical security of the truck at all times.
- Deliver to approximately 19 accounts daily; may deliver up to 30 accounts during peak activity.
- Cover approximately 160 miles daily; miles may increase to 200–300 during higher activity or out-of-town routes.
- Possibility to work with one or more helpers.
- Provide feedback to transportation management regarding route changes or concerns.
- May utilize a smartphone for interaction with hours of service software and / or driver monitoring programs.
What you bring to RNDC (Qualifications)
High school diploma or GED.Preferably two years of delivery experience and / or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.Current Class B CDL license (Class A may be required depending on location); ability to meet company vehicle insurance requirements.Ability to obtain valid DOT medical certification card and file with the state Motor Vehicle Department.Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) License, as required by state.What’s in it for you
