Job Title : Offboard Software Engineer

Duration : 2+ years

Experience Required : 5-7 years

Job Description :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Offboard Software Engineer with 5-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management using Microsoft Access and familiarity with software development and data automation tools. You will play a key role in managing application and calibration data for diagnostic tools, enhancing service simulation applications, and maintaining internal process tools and documentation.

Top Technical Skills Required :

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Access , including experience with the Query Designer
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Working knowledge of at least one high-level programming language (e.g., C#, C++, VB.Net, Java, Rust )
  • Proficiency in Excel macros and formulas

Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and test software for embedded systems and service tool applications.
  • Manage application data, calibration data, and service procedures for multiple product releases (e.g., 2026A, 2026B, 2026C).
  • Develop service tool simulation applications as time permits.
  • Perform validation and troubleshoot errata in collaboration with engineers and stakeholders.
  • Maintain and improve internal tools and documentation related to data configuration and processing.
  • Process 10-15 configuration changes per day for upcoming software releases.
  • Ensure clear documentation and communication of changes in internal tracking systems.

    • Technical Competencies :

  • Software Development : Ability to use development tools and methodologies to produce and maintain robust software products.
  • Requirements Analysis : Ability to gather and evaluate system and software requirements.
  • Technical Troubleshooting : Skilled in diagnosing and resolving technical issues across systems and tools.

    • Soft Skills :

  • Effective Communication : Able to clearly convey and receive information via email, tracking systems, or direct consultation.
  • Teamwork : Works collaboratively with peers, engineers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical Thinking : Strong ability to break down technical issues and propose effective solutions.

    • Education & Experience Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant software engineering experience.

    • Work Environment & Daily Tasks :

  • Daily processing of configuration and calibration data.
  • Written communication is emphasized due to volume and need for accuracy.
  • Quiet, focused work environment is preferred to support high-volume, detail-oriented tasks.
  • Occasional collaboration with senior engineers and internal application stakeholders.
