About The Position

Experience : Minimum of 1.5 years of recent Level I or II Emergency Department experience and / or 2+ years of recent Level III or IV Emergency Department experience.
License : Active RN License
Certifications : TNCC, BLS, ACLS (must be active / unexpired)
Must-Have : Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Description :
This position is for the evening shift, working 12 hours from 7 PM to 7 : 30 AM.
Must be available to work every other weekend and every other holiday.
Candidates must be flexible with floating to different areas including the Psychiatric Emergency Department and Pediatric Emergency Department.
Experience working with patients aged 15 and older is required unless previous pediatric experience has been obtained.
Candidates must be able to independently read and interpret telemetry rhythm strips and identify heart blocks.
A telemetry test will be administered on the first day, requiring a score of 85% or higher to pass.
Preferred experience includes familiarity with EPIC, previous travel assignments, and critical care experience.
The patient-to-nurse ratio will be 1 : 4-5 patients, depending on acuity.
The emergency department is very busy, holding up to 120 treatment areas and serving 350-440 patients per day.
Travelers will not be placed in trauma rooms while on assignment.
