Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in public nursing is required.
- Must have active Minnesota RN license in good standing
- Certification : CPR / BLS.
Job Description :
13-week contract during the 2025 / 2026 school yearContract follows the academic district calendar - 5 to 40 hours per weekIn-person onlyKey Responsibilities :
Administers first aid, medication and specialized medical treatmentAssesses situations involving students' safety, abuse, and other health related issuesCollaborates with parents, students, health care providers, and / or other agenciesConducts programs and / or activities, e.g., health screening, etc.Develops and maintains health care plans, medical emergency cards, emergency care plans, records, e.g., mandated screening, chronic illness, etc.Implements school health care plans and emergency care plansPrepares a wide variety of written materials, e.g., quantity reports, student activities, correspondence, internal audits, etc.Provides staff training on a variety of health-related subjects, e.g., CPR, universal precautions, disaster preparedness, child abuse, health education, etc.Reports students with contagious diseases as mandated by local public health authoritiesResponds to emergency situations and / or evaluates need to activate local EMSSalary :
