Accounts Payable Manager
The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee an accounts payable team, direct the processing of invoices and payments, and manage expense accounts and budget reports. This role involves training and supervising employees involved in billing functions, directing assigned tasks, and assisting with performance evaluations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee reports regarding cash flow and ensure correct payments are made in a timely manner.
- Develop guidelines for proper handling and coding of invoices to maintain general ledger expense account and inventory records.
- Analyze expense reports and other invoices for accuracy and eligibility for payment.
- Verify payments before controller's signature by reviewing checks and vouchers.
- Reconcile accounts payable total and general ledger with other applicable records, such as subsidiary vendors ledger.
- Facilitate correct and timely preparation of budget reports and purchase journals.
- Ensure proper recordkeeping of purchases for use in tax preparation and periodic audits.
- Ensure proper maintenance, filing, and storage of records in case of audits.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
Experience in accounting and accounts payable.Managerial or supervisory experience in accounts payable.Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration desired.Minimum of three years of relevant experience, preferably more.Intermediate Excel skills.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Thorough understanding of accounts payable functions.Excellent supervisory and analytical skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to motivate staff.Work Environment
This position requires working in an office environment closely with the accounting team and accounts payable specialists.

This is a Contract position based out of Akron, Ohio.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $35.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
