Overview
Senior Account Manager - Commercial Insurance (Remote EST, CST) at Insurance Office of America. Manage an assigned book of business, drive account retention, coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, and act as a subject matter expert for the account management team.
About the Role
Work mode : Remote in Eastern and Central Time Zones | Location / Supporting : Longwood, FL | Book Focus : General, Construction, Contractors.
Ideal candidate will handle policy administration, client communications, renewals, and coordination with carriers and vendors to ensure service excellence and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry expertise.
- Direct daily activities and workflow of the account management team.
- Handle customer service requests, policy administration, billing, claims, and coverage analysis.
- Manage policy expirations and renewals.
- Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
- Monitor accounts receivable and take action on delinquent balances.
- Maintain agency management systems and carrier / vendor platforms, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor activity / suspense to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Maintain frequent, transparent communication with the account team regarding workload status and issues.
- Deliver excellent service, anticipate needs, and respond quickly to service requests.
- Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
- Seek and adopt best practices to improve individual and team performance.
- Demonstrate integrity and leadership aligned with IOA values.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
5+ years of account management experience, or 7+ years in the insurance industryThorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needsActive licensing required; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferredStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsExceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skillsProficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)High School Diploma or equivalentWhat We Offer
