Senior Construction Consultant – HDR

Responsibilities

  • Provide construction oversight for trenchless installations.
  • Conduct constructability reviews of trenchless engineering efforts.
  • Review deliverables for trenchless construction activities daily.
  • Visit sites during preliminary engineering efforts.
  • Assess routes for trenchless pipeline siting and routing.
  • Coordinate staffing and develop / review construction management scopes.
  • Interface with clients to support business development for trenchless services.
  • Coordinate subcontractor scheduling and quality control.
  • Prepare the Project Management Plan and Construction Management Plan.
  • Develop procedures for construction contract administration, including documentation, change, time, cost, quality, and safety management.
  • Perform procurement, construction schedules, subcontract scopes, constructability and value engineering reviews, construction estimating, and schedule reviews.
  • Administer and manage construction activities.
  • Monitor progress of overall design relative to construction requirements.
  • Conduct value engineering and constructability reviews.
  • Coordinate local bidding for field quotes.
  • Assist in procurement of purchase orders and subcontract packages.
  • Coordinate document management.
  • Review or coordinate submittals, shop drawings, and pay applications.
  • Prepare, issue, and negotiate change orders.
  • Review and analyze baseline and updated construction schedules.
  • Control project budget and schedule.
  • Coordinate and manage project quality assurance and control, and inspection services.
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with the Health and Safety Program through communication and inspections.
  • Prepare and update project schedules, pay requests, and daily, weekly, and monthly progress, budget, and schedule reports.
  • Take responsibility for project setup and temporary facilities.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
  • Experience with estimating software, scheduling software, and web-based collaboration software for document exchange.
  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Construction Science, or a closely related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction planning and management, including contracts; document, time, cost, quality, change management; and site safety.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Procore, Primavera, Bluebeam, and other construction management software.
  • Strong people skills and the ability to interact with owners, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Compensation range is $135,000-$165,000 based on experience and location.
