Summary :
Responsible for ensuring the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation. This role involves verifying accurate and complete clinical documentation through ongoing interaction with physicians, nursing staff, other patient caregivers, and Health Information coding staff to support the level of service provided to all patients. The specialist supports timely, accurate, and comprehensive documentation of clinical information used for measuring and reporting physician and hospital outcomes. Additionally, the role includes educating all members of the patient care team on an ongoing basis.
Other Information :
Licensed as an RN in Arkansas. Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting, with at least three (3) years in a charge nurse or supervisory role. Utilization review or coding experience is preferred. Essential skills include excellent observation, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and strong verbal and written communication. Interpersonal skills should be professional, team-oriented, and capable of effective communication at all levels. Must be proactive, flexible, and maintain a positive attitude.
This position is authorized for 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
