JOB TITLE : Locksmith Engineer

Job Description :

Responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing security devices including cutting and fitting keys to locks, designing master key systems, changing lock and key systems, changing combinations on electrical and mechanical locks and picking and bypassing locks. Specific duties include responding to emergency security concerns, performing inspections and updating technical specifications.

Job Focus :

Focus is on, but not limited to the following :

• Installs, maintains and repairs locks, including cutting and fitting keys to locks, designing master key systems, changing lock and key systems, changing combinations on electrical and mechanical locks and picking and bypassing locks.
• Installs and repairs door hardware.
• Uses the computer to perform audits and estimates and to manipulate key code programs and master key software.
• Opens and sets combination on safes and vaults.
• Installs, repairs and troubleshoots automatic openers.
• Provides inspections and security consultations.
• Performs audit of all door hardware.
• Revises and updates technical specifications on the computer.
• Performs other job related duties as assigned.
