EPM is growing, and we are seeking a Government Insuring Specialist to join our team. You’llbe responsible for completing the government insuring process for FHA, VA, and USDA loans post-closing and ensuring loans are insured in a timely and accurate manner. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and knowledgeable about government loan guidelines. If this sounds like you, apply today!

Key Responsibilities

  • Submit and track mortgage insurance applications for FHA, VA, and USDA loans.
  • Process Upfront Mortgage Insurance Premium (UFMIP) and VA Funding Fee (VAFF) payments, ensuring proper submission to HUD and VA.
  • Reconcile and resolve case number warnings, errors, and corrections in FHA Connection or VA WebLGY.
  • Validate final closing documents for compliance with government insuring requirements.
  • Research and resolve rejected case binders or insurance certificates.
  • Monitor pipeline, follow up on missing documentation, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records and support audits, HUD / LRS reviews, and agency reporting.
  • Stay current with FHA, VA, and USDA guideline updates.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned due to business needs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in mortgage post-closing, insuring, or government loan processing.
  • Familiarity with FHA Connection, VA WebLGY, and USDA guarantee systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and research abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
