Logistics & Supply Coordinator
The Logistics & Supply Coordinator supports and optimizes the effective and efficient logistics and supply process for medical transport. This role ensures the efficient and compliant handling of supplies, equipment, and inventory, while maintaining high standards of safety and regulatory adherence. This role will oversee fleet maintenance of ambulances ensuring all vehicles are maintained and serviced to meet operational needs. Collaborates with Education and Quality teams.
Essential Functions :
- Supports the management of logistics of the clinical supplies and equipment inventory, packing, and distribution for Intermountain air and ground Med Transport services throughout all the geographic areas it provides services.
- Supports the development, review, and updates of Med Transport supply and equipment logistics practices in line with company policies, standards, laws, and regulations.
- Ensures proper handling and disposal of medical and biohazardous waste in line with all applicable guidelines, policies, and regulations
- Collaborates with leaders and managers to oversee the adequate and appropriate inventory of supplies and maintain equipment for patient services at assigned locations.
- Monitors patient care equipment maintenance, deadlines and ensures compliance with all service intervals.
- Supports efforts to identify and minimize risk by predicting product demand and adopting strategies to prevent disruptions.
- Partners with Intermountain Central Supply Chain Organization to oversee and harmonize standard processes in alignment with system-wide protocols.
- Maintains technology platforms used for managing logistics of medical supply and equipment for Med Transport.
- Supports the process and administration for purchase orders for capital and non-capital purchases for medical equipment and supplies.
- Oversees the procurement, stocking, and accountability of all uniforms needs for ground and flight crews.
- Supports the establishment, implementation and maintenance of practices to prevent excessive waste and product loss of inventory.
- Collaborates with leaders and managers to oversee fleet maintenance of ambulances.

Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, documents, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.Frequent interactions with providers, colleagues, customers, patients / clients and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate supplies and equipment with precision and accuracy.
