Med / Surg RN Job Details Job Title : Med / Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Assignment Location : Keyser, WV 26726 (West Virginia nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : 21-bed Medical Surgical Department Contract Type : Travel Nursing Assignment Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 10 / 12 / 2025 – End : 1 / 11 / 2026) Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights, weekends as scheduled Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1820 - $1950 EMR System : EpicCare Inpatient EMR Scrub Color : Any color scrubs permitted Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (open to candidates awaiting West Virginia RN licensure) Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical (Med / Surg) nursing experience BLS (AHA) certification required NIHSS certification required Proficiency in reading dysrhythmia / telemetry strips Experience with Epic EMR preferred Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care to adults with diagnoses such as CHF, COPD, diabetes, hypertension, and post-operative orthopedic cases Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 5 (occasionally 1 : 6) Collaborate with Patient Care Techs and support team-based nursing Monitor and interpret telemetry strips for clinical changes Administer medications, including set-rate drips (e.g., Heparin) Document all patient care activities in EpicCare Inpatient EMR Participate in patient admissions, discharges, and education initiatives Work closely with charge nurses and house supervisors for optimal patient outcomes Attend orientation and Epic EMR training as required Apply now to join our healthcare team in Keyser, WV, and experience rewarding travel nursing opportunities in West Virginia!
