Position Summary :
The Tax Senior Associate is responsible for supporting the tax goals and Federal, State, Local, and International tax compliance needs of the organization.
Essential Functions :
- Prepare quarterly estimated tax allocations for all levels of the BEN organizations
- Prepare and review federal, state, local, and international tax returns prepared by the compliance team
- Maintain 704, Tax, and GAAP capital walks and built in gain / loss calculations
- Validate that the book numbers tie to the financial statements and taxable income is correct
- Prepare Income Tax Provision work papers as needed
- Assist in tax planning, research, and tax return audits
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies :
Some experience with Partnerships, S-Corp, and Special / Complex Partnership AllocationsExcellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills to effectively interact with team members and external investorsProficient knowledge of Microsoft Office SuiteKnowledge of tax preparation software (preferably CCH ProSystem or Axcess)Highly organizedAbility to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skillsWork within tight deadlines and take responsibility for getting the job done in a timely mannerSelf-starterAttain a thorough technical competency and industry specific expertise through CPE, firm / industry group events, webinars, etc.Qualifications :
