As a Wealth Advisor in CIBC Wealth Management's Chicago office, you will play a key role in supporting a Senior Relationship Manager to deliver comprehensive financial planning and exceptional service to our high-net-worth clients. This is a support role that allows you to focus on building lasting relationships with a dedicated client base, without the emphasis on new business development. Your responsibilities will include financial planning, trading, client meeting preparation, investment analysis, research, and all aspects of account administration. In our fast-paced, collaborative environment, you'll partner with a talented team to ensure client portfolios are expertly aligned with their investment strategies and objectives, while contributing to client retention and satisfaction. Deliver Tailored Financial Planning : Conduct in-depth cash flow analyses and proactively adjust asset allocations to help clients achieve their unique financial goals.
Cultivate Lasting Client Relationships : Play an integral role in managing client portfolios, fostering loyalty, and supporting the growth of our business.
Operate Internal Investment Reviews : Review client investment reviews both internally and externally. Execute strategic asset allocation changes, rebalance portfolios, and implement investment recommendations in collaboration with Senior Relationship Manager.
Optimize Portfolio Outcomes : Prepare insightful performance reports, address liquidity needs, and manage tax strategies and manager transitions to enhance client results.
Offer Personalized, High-Touch Support : Respond promptly to client inquiries, resolve complex issues, and build direct client relationshipsgaining greater independence as you grow in the role.
Offer Strategic Insights : Gather and analyze data on investment strategies, portfolio performance, and market trends to inform and engage clients and prospects.
Champion Compliance and Risk Management : Uphold the highest standards by implementing robust operational and compliance controls in alignment with CIBC's requirements.
Collaborate Across Teams : Work closely with internal partners to deliver seamless, professional, and timely service to our valued clients.
Experienced professional : Bring 15+ years of financial services experience, ideally with exposure to client relationship management, and must hold a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation.
Investment-savvy : Have a strong understanding of global financial markets, including equities, fixed income, and alternative investments.
Analytical expert : Demonstrate expertise in asset allocation, portfolio construction, risk-return analytics, performance measurement, and compliant reporting.
Technologically proficient : Advanced in Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint, and Word, with familiarity in trust accounting systems, primarily SEI, trading systems (e.g., CRD), and FACTSET.
Detail-oriented communicator : Excel at preparing professional performance reports and engaging with clients to address complex issues.
Team-oriented : Thrive in a collaborative team structure while operating independently to complete assigned responsibilities.
Adaptable and proactive : Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Solid Expertise in Financial Markets : A deep understanding of investment principles and market dynamics.
Advanced Analytical and Technical Abilities : Proficiency in supporting portfolio management, analysis, and reporting with precision.
Outstanding Relationship Skills : A passion for delivering exceptional client service and building lasting partnerships.
