Senior Cost Estimator

Job Description

Our client is a project & program managment firm for federal construction projects. We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Estimator . This role plays a pivotal part in developing accurate cost estimates for federal construction projects, ensuring that all bids, proposals, and budgets align with the technical scope, contract requirements, and cost control standards mandated by federal agencies.

Key Responsibilities :

• Prepare detailed and comprehensive quantity take-offs for all building trades using drawings, specifications, and other project documentation.
• Develop conceptual, schematic, design development, and construction-level cost estimates for federal and military construction projects.
• Analyze subcontractor and vendor proposals for scope alignment, accuracy, and completeness.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and design coordination sessions to identify project-specific challenges or cost drivers.
• Work collaboratively with project managers, design teams, and federal contracting officers to refine budgets and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain and update unit cost databases and benchmarking data in accordance with federal cost-estimating standards.
• Utilize estimating software to generate accurate cost analyses and take-offs.
• Prepare detailed estimate reports and presentations for internal review and formal submission to federal agencies.
