Levindale is accredited by the Joint Commission and Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.\n\nUNIT SUMMARY : \n\nBrain Health Unit (BHU) : The Brain Health Unit is part of the specialty hospital at Levindale, it is comprised of two units, and has a total bed capacity of 60. The BHU units are designed to provide a safe environment for older patients with neurocognitive disorders and medical co-morbidities. The nurse will partner with a multidisciplinary team to engage, support, and treat the patient. The length of stay is between 20-25 days, which allows the team the opportunity to assess, implement medication management and a plan of care that is sustainable and that will maximize quality of life. The nurse patient ratio is 1 : 8-10 for nurses and 1 : 10 for geriatric nursing assistants. Each unit has a charge nurse that manages a lighter assignment of 4 patients.\n\nALL TEAM MEMBERS ENJOY!\n\n
