Growing Company seeks a Machinist to join the team.

The Machinist performs precision machining, repair, and replacement of pump components using manual lathe machines. This role involves interpreting blueprints, applying technical specifications, and operating equipment such as lathes, mills, VTLs, drill presses, and band saws to produce precise and accurate results. The Machinist directly supports high-quality pump rebuilds that ensure reliability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Machine threads and perform precision machining on pump components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
  • Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure accuracy.
  • Inspect and monitor machine instruments during operation.
  • Communicate progress and issues to the Shop Foreman.
  • Identify discrepancies and collaborate with the engineering team or Machinist Foreman to resolve issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Miscellaneous Duties :

  • Perform minor inspection parts prior to assembly.
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

    • Required Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic math skills
  • Experience operating manual lathe machines required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Reliable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience with manual Lathe machine

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with equipment such as drill press, milling machines, and measuring instruments.
  • Forklift certification
