The Global Quality Director is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide quality strategy across design, development, and manufacturing operations. This role ensures that our products & processes meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and compliance, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus.

The Global Quality Director establishes and maintains a quality culture within OmniOn Power. This includes responsibility for product safety, customer quality, sourcing quality, quality management systems, and continuous improvement.

Realizing that quality activities happen throughout our organization, you will build a quality community across our organization to build the strategy, processes, tools, and teams needed to exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the enterprise-wide quality strategy, aligning with business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Develop and deploy initiatives that improve product and process quality across design, NPI, manufacturing, and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, TL9000), and drive audit readiness.
  • Lead global quality systems, including CAPA, FMEA and 8D reporting.
  • Develop and deploy continuous improvement programs that build employee engagement to reduce cost of quality and non-value-added activities.
  • Establish and monitor key quality metrics (e.g., FPY, DPPM, customer complaints, audit scores), and drive root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer Support to resolve quality issues and improve product lifecycle outcomes.
  • Represent the company in customer and regulatory quality engagements.
  • Build and develop a high-performing global quality organization, fostering talent and leadership.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with Supply Chain, Sourcing, Quality, Engineering, R&D, and Commercial teams to ensure seamless integration of manufacturing strategies with broader business goals.
  • Talent Development & Culture Building : Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Travel : Domestic and international travel, approximately 20-30% required.
  • Availability : Able to collaborate with global teams and management including night, early morning, or weekend meetings, as necessary.
  • Performing any other reasonable duties as directed by management.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in quality and supply chain leadership roles within high-tech manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of quality leadership experience with proven success in leading global teams and driving quality transformation.
  • Deep expertise in quality systems, regulatory standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Preferred Skills

  • Certifications in Six Sigma, Lean, or Quality Engineering (e.g., CQE, CQA).
  • Experience with ERP, MES, and digital quality tools.
  • Experience in power electronics or similarly complex technologies is a plus.
  • Strongly prefer multilingual or cross-cultural experience in global operations.
  • Experience in customer-facing quality roles, including managing escalations and driving satisfaction.
  • Skilled in executive-level reporting and communication, including presenting to senior leadership and external partners.
  • Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for quality performance monitoring.
  • Experience implementing digital quality systems or transitioning from manual to automated quality processes.
